Trickets, huh?

I have heard rumors that they're thinking of opening Opryland again in Nashville, TN to boost the slowing tourism. That would be great, but it seems like whenever I went there as a kid, most of the rides were broken (mostly just "Chaos" ). Here's a great old commercial.

Now open weekends? Were they really not open on the weekends before this ad campaign?
And who the hell goes to the same theme pary three days in a row?

It didnt matter if Chaos was broken....as long as you could make out on it.

Whoa! I don't know about you, but I was like eleven when I was going to Opryland. I cared much more about getting soaking wet and avoiding spinning rides.

HA! I guess that's true. I am thinking more of when i was in 7th or 8th grade....right before it closed. Either way, I have many fond memories of that place.

Have you heard anything about it reopening?

The say "open weekends" because that was probably March or April before it was open full weeks. Trust me I remember this stuff! (although I do not remember that commercial)

I do not know where they would put another one!

George, I actually think that we were one of the families going to that same theme park "three days in a row"...we had the hook-up: Dad got free tickets through the Sheraton Downtown. Great memories- Where else does one find Count Chocula, Boo Berry and Banjoes walking around together? Those were the days.
